Press Command+A to select all content

Press [Command]+[A] to select all text or other content in the field or doc that you’re in.

When this is useful:

You might want to select all of the text or content you’re working with so that you can delete it, cut (or copy) and paste it, or even drag it somewhere else. For example, to delete everything in a text field, press Command+A and then press Delete once. That’s so much faster than putting your cursor at the end and pressing Delete a whole bunch.

Other notes:

  1. The A is for “all”, as in “select all”.
  2. This will select everything in the current field your cursor is in. If you’re in a search box, it’ll select everything just in that field; if you’re in a doc, it’ll select everything in that doc.
