Press Command+F to find text everywhere

Press [Command]+[F] to bring up a search box that lets you find some text on the current page in any app.

Why this is useful:

When you’re reading a web page, a doc, or a note you’ve saved, this keyboard shortcut helps you quickly find what you’re looking for.

Other notes:

  1. The F is for “find”.
  2. The search box may look different depending on the app you’re using.
  3. This lets you find text, not usually images or other kinds of content.
  4. As you type your search, the app will usually highlight every result.
  5. You can usually press [Return] to move through the highlighted results, if there are multiple.
